What Is BAAG
The Association shall attempt to achieve the following objectives: • Foster communication within the professional botanical community, and between botanists and the rest of humankind. • Encourage all specialist botanists to join and become active in the Botanical Association at Gujarat. • holding general and local meetings with a view to share botanical knowledge among the public and facilitate interaction between members • sustain and provide improved formal and informal education about plants • provide expertise, direction, and position statements concerning plants and ecosystems • encouraging original investigations • publishing a botanical journal and special monographs • organizing efforts to create facilities for botanical work in the country • publishing a botanical journal and special monographs • appointing sub-committees wherever and whenever they may be required • starting 5 sub-chapters in east, west, north, south and central Gujarat; if 100 or more ordinary members apply for suchcenters.
1) To builde-libraries, develop and publish books, e mediaand CDs, study materials, audio and video aids on Botanical education and research, alliedsubjects, organize discussions, seminars and conferences to impart knowledge and understanding amongst the stakeholders. 2) To assist institutions in imparting knowledge OF BOTANY to the differently abledand for adult education, like vocational training in Botany related vocations, semi-skilled jobs for self employment, short hand, computer training and type-writing, social science,science, languages, modelling, etc. 3) To strive to meet changing need of providing comprehensive Botany education to develop all-round personality and provide an environment congenial to growth and development of the learners. 4) All the income, earning, movable and immovable properties of the ASSOCIATION shall be solely utilized and applied towards the promotion of its aim and objects only as set forth in the memorandum of Association and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profits or in any manner whatsoever to the present or past members of the ASSOCIATION or to any person claiming through any one or more of the present or the past members. No member of the ASSOCIATION shall have any personal claim on any moveable property of the ASSOCIATION or make any profit, whatsoever, by virtue of his/her membership. 5) To promote research in the study of Indian system of medicine, homeopathy, and nature cure etc. and ancient Indian culture bwith respect to Botany. 6) To improve teaching and research in Plant related sciences. 7) To encourage research and publication activities and to create awareness, interest and importance of Life sciences. 8) To create public opinion in favour of the conservation of natural wealth, prevention of environmental pollution and to create concern over biomedical diseases of human Association. 9) The Income of the ASSOCIATION by whatever means shall be utilised for the objects of the ASSOCIATION and shall not be distributed among the members or anybody. 10) To provide for any incidental facilities that may be required by members.

BAAG MISSION
The MISSION of the Association shall be to promote the cause of Botany, the field of basic science in India and the world across in all its aspects dealing with the study and inquiry into the form, function, development, diversity, reproduction, evolution, and uses of plants and their interactions within the biosphere.
BAAG AIMS
The ASSOCIATION aims at bridging the academia with Government as well as industry and bring about fruitful awareness of Plant Sciences in all walks of life.
BAAG OBJECTIVES
The ASSOCIATION shall be a voluntary body, non-political, not related to any cast, colour or region and non-profit making social service organization established to promote the cause of Botany.
