History Of BAAG

The Association shall attempt to achieve the following objectives: • Foster communication within the professional botanical community, and between botanists and the rest of humankind. • Encourage all specialist botanists to join and become active in the Botanical Association at Gujarat. • holding general and local meetings with a view to share botanical knowledge among the public and facilitate interaction between members • sustain and provide improved formal and informal education about plants • provide expertise, direction, and position statements concerning plants and ecosystems • encouraging original investigations • publishing a botanical journal and special monographs • organizing efforts to create facilities for botanical work in the country • publishing a botanical journal and special monographs • appointing sub-committees wherever and whenever they may be required • starting 5 sub-chapters in east, west, north, south and central Gujarat; if 100 or more ordinary members apply for suchcenters
